Remembering One Year of 26/11 – Wake up and save yourself !

Below is what I had written after the 26 November Mumbai Attacks….

Every word seems so true even today:

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Dear Countryman ,

You must have read about the Mumbai March of 3rd December 08 conducted in view of the recent Terror Attacks: There are similar cases also everywhere in which politicians are criticized and Murdabaads are shouted against many things including Netaas and Baabus..

1. What the crowd wants is someone to blame on. Politicians are as usual targets. Just remember that in last terror attack CM was someone different, and in earlier one, even someone different…So its not about specific 10-15 current office bearing persons, lets agree.

2. There are more than 10,000 active MLA and MLCs in India right now adding to more than 1000 parliamentarians. This is besides the top non office bearing politicians, top level Officers, and a huge number of past members of such groups which may sum up beyond many thousands. Whom all you want to kill, punish or de-throne?

3.The people were recently celebrating the selection of New CM in Maharashtra. Wasn’t that a wrong thing from public? Many films were released during attacks, shows of entertainment being conducted, marriages being made, and god knows how many people were enjoying also in their homes on various personal occasions. Wasn’t that business as usual? If common man returns to normal life, it’s his bravery and Salaam Mumbai etc.; if a politician returns to work as usual, it’s his shamelessness? Is it really a ‘Salaam Mumbai for Back to business’ case or ‘I don’t care- move on!’ attitude?

4. Please note the number of cigarette smokers in the march , the number of people taking pictures of the march(as if it’s a memorable entertainment show), many making jokes on politicians just to show their satire veins..Isn’t this a temporary, reactive, and infertile action on part of these people?

5. How many of these people who have joined in the march can –
a. Decide and obey that they won’t do a single rupee corrupt activity in life?
b. Decide and follow that they won’t break traffic or any other rules in life?
c. Decide and follow that they will take up all doubtful matters to the authorities on terrorism and corruption even if such complaint may involve considerable efforts and time
D. Decide and change themselves for at least one cause of happiness for this country?

Are they really going to change as a society, as a group of people, as a part of victim of terrorism arising due to corruptions and poverty?
Or are they happy in such easy blame games in the name of Politicians?

Are you happy?

and What about the case if one of those politicians is father of your good friend..or another is your neighbor…or even you may be joining in those corrupt business practices when back to office tomorrow..

POLITICIANS ARE PART OF SOCIETY…POLITICIANS ARE PART OF YOU AND ME…THE CORRUPTION ALSO…THE LITHARGY TOWARDS RULES ALSO….THE CHALTA HAI ATTITUDE ALSO..
.
ARE YOU GOING TO CHANGE ATLEAST A BIT WITHIN YOURSELF??
